Moss - Carrier of local environmental memories

Design Master-Research Process on Multisensory Learning Spaces for collective Imagination on Biodiversity(loss) and environmental memory.

The knowledges about climate change, the tipping points and ecocide are quite accessible, yet political actions and claims are only coming from activists and the ones most effected by the effects of climate change. My master thesis in design builds on my experience as a facilitator for non-hierarchical learning spaces of groups with different ages. The Process of "Moss - Carrier of ecological memories" is a collaborative research to the effects on learning through multisensory impulses in a space (haptic, sound, light), participatory research tasks and exchange knowledges, that rather connects with our memories and emotions.

Local memories will be recorded in several occasions to build a growing archive of environmental memories.
